We had a successful Rally last Saturday. There were 29 of us.
We had rain, which stopped as we went out to pray on the 4 corners at St Anthony Padua church. Bright sun came out though very windy and cool. Some of us prayed the rosary at 2 entrances of the plaza across from the church. So we were 6 groups.
We held it in front of the Church of Madre dei Christiani in Ville LaSalle. We were few in numbers but we were able to accomplish what was in the program. Thank you for choosing me to be a captain of this rosary rally.
It was cold, cloudy and it rained all night until just 1 hr before the prayers started.
The rain stopped, the sun came out and the temperature warmed up. BLESSINGS
It was a very beautiful event and it did not rain; only wind I guess. It was a Blessing to be able to pray in public. The Holy Spirit was stirring things up.
Our Rally was held on the sidewalk on The East Mall and Vallaha-Inn Road, Etobicoke, Ontario. We prayed the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy after we put the attached petitions across to Jesus through Our Mother. We also sang some Hymns.
We did get the attention of many cars and some people that passed that way. And I believe we did make Mother Mary and Heaven happy as we stood there for over an hour holding the banner and raising our rosaries. Praise God!
Here’s a quick post I put on Facebook for my Brother Knights in regards to yesterday’s Street Rosary Rally in Mississauga. We were on the Southeast corner of Burnhamthorpe and Hurontario.
The winds made it especially hard to set up anything. In fact, our first tent was taken down as it could not be secured safely. Resultant winds forced me to alter the Radio Maria table display.
Please be sure to join us in October 2020!

Today starting out at 12 O`clock we held a rosary rally. We did a public walk through the down town core while praying the Rosary. We started out at the Catholic church and proceeded on an eight block walk through the down town core returning to the church grounds as the prayers reached their end.
This was the third year we have conducted what we refer to as a Rosary rally public walk. we will be continuing the October public Rosary with this type of public walk on a yearly bases for the foreseeable future. As vehicles passed us on the side of the street we were not using, some were giving us a thumbs up; it appears the drivers and their passengers accepted our presence and were not bothered by the little inconvenience we might have caused them.
Today we started with 14 people and 4 more joined as we passed through the down town.
The forcast was gloomy with light rain until 1pm. Around 11:30 am the sun started shining bright, perfect for the Rosary Rally. What a blessing miracle! My 2 1/2 yr.old grandson was the youngest attendee.
We had two priests to pray and bless us. Father Claude and Father Daas. We had approximately 30 people. Each year our number of prayerful followers are getting larger.
Unfortunately, because of the pouring rain outside, we had to hold the Rosary Rally inside our local Theatre this year, on 50 Cunard Street in Miramichi, New Brunswick. (It is called the Vogue Theatre. They were very kind and generous to let us go inside. The Theatre is in our busy downtown of our city. We had planned on using their parking lot, but the weather was not cooperating, but it did not keep our faithful Catholics away. Praise Jesus for this truly blessed event for His Holy Mother, Mary.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League hosted its first ever Rosary Rally to coincide with the national campaign of Canada Need Our Lady to take back the public square. Though many were invited, few attended on the Saturday of the Thanksgiving Weekend. This day is chosen as it is nearest Saturday to the 102nd anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun (October 13, 1917). At noon as busy traffic passed Third and Columbia, Catholics sang Immaculate Mary and O Sanctissima and prayed the Angelus, Rosary, Litany of the Blessed Virgin and others for the 2019 Intentions for the Public Square Rosary Crusade which included:
– To show God and His Blessed Mother our love and veneration, we offer this rosary rally as a special public commemoration of the 102nd Year Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima.
– Through the most Holy Rosary, we ask Our Lord and Our Lady for the conversion of Canada so that it may fulfill its historic mission.
– To stop the waves of sacrilege, blasphemy and anti-religious hatred within our society.
– That our national leaders would seek to honour God’s Law and pray for the wisdom and knowledge necessary
to solve Canada’s complex problems.
– For the urgent triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Canada and the world especially as a result of our massive prayers and acts of reparation offered at these 102nd anniversary rallies.
nIn reparation for the countless sins which are committed daily against the most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the most Immaculate Heart of Mary.
– For the Catholic Church. May Our Lady grant it victory over its enemies, declared and undeclared.
See www.CanadaNeedsOurLady.org for more information. Plan to hold your own Rosary Rally or join with another group next year.
Our rally location was near the Rideau River Pathway on the edge of the street with cars passing by and pedestrians. We had a few cars pass by and honk as an encouraging expression. We were able to do the rosary rally in Spanish as our group was Hispanic. We hope to continue to promote this Public Rosary and reach more individuals next year. Thank you for the blessed opportunity.
This rosary rally was made possible by Our Blessed Mother.
Miraculously, the weather forecast was supposed to be rain, but it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.
Thank you Lord for the favourable weather that we able to successfully conducted the Rosary @ Collingwood Park, Vancouver… Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them.
It was a bright sunny noon and we started the Rosary with handful of people as there were so much activities going on at the parish, but later on we increased in no. about 50 of us. As this is our first time, we hope to do better next year for more people to join, for God’s greater honor and glory.
In the morning there was a little bit rain, but at almost 12:00 noon, the sun begins to appear. It was a bright sunny day when the Rosary started. At first, there was a handful of people, sooner it increased in no.. With God’s intervention, everything went well. As this is my first time as Rosary Captain, we hope to do better if not best next year to increase in no. for God’s greater honour and glory.
The Bradford Public Square Rosary Crusade was attended by about 100 people. In the third photo, the organizer, Dom Duraes is the man wearing the brown hat and is standing to the right of Bradford Mayor Rob Keffer who said a prayer for all our leaders. I am pleased to say that the Hail Mary was said in 9 different languages, as our church, Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Parish is very diverse . Also, CTV Barrie News was in attendance and gave us 1 minute and 20 seconds of air time Saturday evening. Please use Google, CTV Barrie News and scroll to find the ‘Public Square Rosary Rally’ – it is a great video and I am very pleased with it, as I was unsure whether they would attend. If you have any questions, please contact me, Nancy Bobala, nancy_bobala@hotmail.com
People from at least 4 different parishes attended. About 15 of the faithful were Spanish speaking, so we did a bilingual Rosary, alternating decades in Spanish and English. We also had French-speaking Canadians present, so we sang Ave Maria in English, Spanish and then in French! Hail Mary!
Our Rosary Rally was held at our outdoor statue of Mary, right next to the Otonabee River in Lakefield. The statue was beautifully decorated with the Rosary Banner and beautiful flowers.
It was a windy cold afternoon but we had 22 people who were dedicated and devoted to Mary and who braved the elements and prayed and sang together.
We also had an outdoor rosary made with cards on our church grounds which was very effective at attracting interest in the event.
It was looking like our group would be small but (at the stroke of 12 noon) others joined us. So we numbered 11 in total…9 from our parish of St Leonard (including our priest) plus 2 others.
Not bad for a first effort !
It did begin to rain shower the moment we blessed ourselves to start but never was enough to cause us to get our umbrellas from the car.
We considered it an extra blessing…with holy water.
We gathered at the public park at the intersection of two major streets where there’s lots of traffic, as well as, sports fields…with a team practising.
The consensus was that we’ll do it again next year…and hopefully grow in numbers.
It had been raining the previous days, but we were confident that the sun would shine on that day, and it did! When we started praying the rosary it was still cloudy then after awhile the Sun came out and shone brightly and kept us warm. It was my first rosary rally as team captain, it was a small group but we prayed from our heart. Attendees are looking forward to next year Rosary Rally.
We gather in Honour of Our Lady of Fatima asking for Her protection in our country, province, schools and wherever we are.
Nous sommes une paroisse française et appréçions notre belle bannière de Notre Sainte Mère de Fatima. en participant à notre 3e rally le 12 octobre, 2019.
À la prochaine, en plus grand nombre. !!!
Good Morning, My name is Maria. The Rosary Crusade took place on Saturday October 12th, at noon at the corner of Close Ave and King St. West, by the statue of the Blessed Mother located outside of the Holy Family Church of Toronto, Ont.We gathered about 30 people and had two volunteers to hold the banner and another person to distribute the handouts. We followed the suggested Prayer Program and prayed the fifteen Mysteries (Joyful, Sorrows and Glorious) We took few pictures at the end of the program. The Rally captain is in green jacket. You will find attached a list of names of the attendants. I collected some names. It was a nice spiritual experience for all of us who were present with no disturbances during the prayer, and we were blessed with good weather. After the rain in the morning, it cleared up by noon, but it was windy reason for placing the banner against the wall of the building for protection. I am not signing for Rally Captain for 2020 at this time. I will re-check it at the proper time. Thank you for making me a part of this great Rosary Crusade. May God continue blessing your work and sacrifices. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Maria Ziebert2019 Rally Captain
Our Public Square Rosary was attended approximately by 40 people. At a Public Park on South Surrey, BC. And thank you for giving me the opportunity to pray the Rosary in public and to be a bold and proud Catholic. Just for your records I am an eighty one years old woman and I already sign-up to become again Capitan for the Square Rosary Rally 2020. I am praying to God to give me life and health to fulfill my promise.
It was our first public rosary rally and so thankful for this amazing opportunity praying the rosary and singing to Our Blessed Mother. The sound system helped a lot. It was a windy chilly day and while praying the sun shone brightly. It was a busy intersection and we saw passengers in cars driving by making the sign of the cross. We are excited and praying for next years rally.
Please find attached few photos taken yesterday during the Rosary. We planned to do it outside but due to heavy snow and wind we did it inside the church after the opening prayers outside. (In Winnipeg the weather was very bad during the past couple of days).
Just to let you know that it was raining very hard all day. We held it in my home with 42 people in front of a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Fatima. It was too crouded and people in 3 different rooms so sorry, no pictures.
The Feast Of Our Lady Of Fatima 102th anniversary honored and commemorated through public Holy Rosary fruitful event at the Catholic Family of Parishes In Norfolk county ON at the St. Mary’s church Simcoe – on Saturday October 12th 2019 -this thanksgiving weekend October 2019!! This year’s Team Captain Elizabeth Christian Cruz O’Malley.(your humble Marian Devotee and servant) About 50 parishioners joining the CanadaNeedsOurLady.org nationwide rally public Holy Rosary in Canada upon the invitation of the Director Mr. Michael Renaud together with Ms. Lourdes Tapia ever kind and generous Coordinator with the team and staff. About 50 parishioners attended joined us in fervent prayers followed by light snack and refreshments!! From this fruitful event the Our Lady of Fatima 1st Saturday Prayer Group was formed the meeting starts on November 02, 2019 (1st Saturday- Prayer meeting and camaraderie followed by the regular 5:00pm anticipated mass). Cheers on this great blessing!! Our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to our Fr. Al Duframoint, Fr. Lucio Covuto and Parish staff and team from the Catholic Family of Parishes, the Portuguese community and members of the organizing team who supported the event and for your continuous kind assistance!! ❤️
The Rally was held by the Barry’s Bay, Combermere and Foymount areas/
Approximately 40 people showed up on a grey, showery day. The reason the gathering was so limited was caused in part by one of the parishes not publishing the event for 2 previous Sundays, as requested. The part-time secretary forgot to include the memo sent to her for inclusion in the Parish Bulletin. That area usually sends a significant number of people to the Rally.
However, that did not prevent the event from being prayerful and a solid display of our faith and love for Our Lady. The statue of Our Lady of Fatima – 42 inches high – was proudly displayed on a table for all to see and to whom to pray.
Thank you to you for providing us with what was needed to pray fervently and with pride.
Our rally was supposed to be at a more visible location but we moved it in front of our church due to the worst weather condition here in Winnipeg. We have been experiencing the winter storm. A lot of trees fall on the road. Hence, we just have a few in attendance mostly from our Legion of Mary. Even then, we still managed to hold the Rally as our self-sacrifice for the reparation of sins and our love for Our Lord Jesus and Blessed Mother Mary.
Well it pored rain . Most of the morning., just as 12:00 approached the sun came out.. it was quite windy but we were fine.. we stood at the front our Church St. Bernadette’s in Ajax at the corner of Harwood and Bayly .. a very busy intersection.,I did not count the people but I think 45 people..two Priests…and very loyal Rosary people..we have pictures. They were sent to me in messenger from someone else’s phone.. have to figure how to send them.. a passerby joined us I welcomed him gave him the prayers.. he said he is coming back to Church., with his boys..he was curious by the sign.. so beautiful. ..Mary’s face.
Today starting out at 12 O`clock we held a rosary rally. We do not do it the same way as it is done down south we do not go to a Public square stand there and pray the Rosary and accompanying prayers. We do a public walk through the down town core while praying the Rosary. We start out at the Catholic church and proceed on an eight walk through the down town core returning to the church grounds as the prayers reach there ending.
This was the third year we have conducted what we refer to as a Rosary rally public walk. we will continuing the October public Rosary with this type of public walk on a yearly bases for the foreseeable future. As vehicles passed us on the side of the street we were not using some occupants were giving us a thumbs up signal; it appears the drivers and their passengers accept our presence and are not bothered by the little inconvenience we cause them.
Today we started with 14 people and 4 more joined as we passed through the down town.
As you can see by the photos we had a nice clear sunny day it got all the way up to +11C.
Attached find 6 photos of our walk the caption under each photo indicates what part of the walk it represents plus the individuals name hat took the photo.
We never ripped the banner this year so we will have it for next year we will also be saving the guide pamphlet and extra payer leaflets that we had produced for distribution. We have these extra leaflets as the turn out was not as large as it has been the last few years.
For our first Public Square Rosary Rally, I was very pleased with the turnout of 23 people, including Fr. Luc. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this, and for all my helpers.
Six of us met together to pray at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church parking lot during the weekend on which an unprecedented snow storm pummelled the province of Manitoba.
I wasn’t sure if it would only be my husband and myself for it rained all night and continued trough the morning, but in spite of the sometimes heavy rain, people trickled to join in prayer, 15 strong. Everyone was genuinely devout to Our Lady, more so now that our new Parish name is Our Lady of Guadalupe.
We would like to thank you with all of our hearts for asking us to be a Rally Captain. We stood grounded and firm in our faith and we were happy to display this to the public.
Truly an Amazing Experience! Thank you for providing this opportunity to become a Rosary Captain. Those that attended were moved and very appreciative of being a part in honouring Our Blessed Mother. Our goal next year is to increase in numbers
We held our rally at St. Simon & St Jude Parish Church. It was advertised on our Parish bulletin, Facebook and within Knights of Columbus Councils in our area. As this was our first time hosting the rally, I was not sure what to expect or how many might turnout especially at noon on a Saturday. I was pleased when 2 members of our parish music ministry attended and led us in sing Immaculate Mary. It is important I believe to let you know that our parish has a small but faithful group who pray the rosary daily and that we have adoration of the Blessed Sacrament during many hours on week days. Paul added: ‘I was pleased that I decided to host the Rally and shared with attendants that there were close to 20,000 other gatherings worldwide.
Louis
The Rally started promptly at 12 noon local time or a minute or 2 past the hour. It was attended by 5 persons – myself and my 2 teenage children, and 2 other adults, one of whom had attended my previous rallies. The weather was excellent, totally devoid of snows, which had marked previous rallies. This was the first time I held the rally at City hospital. The human traffic wasn’t as high as I expected, perhaps because it was a long weekend. The turnout was also not as impressive. I’m hopeful this will improve next year, God willing.
It was chilly in the park but our prayer was a successful one. The park was busy but nobody interrupted us. One of the invited was asking how to become a rosary rally captain. We will do it again next year. Thanks GOD for empowering us with your HOLY SPIRIT.
16 adults and 4 children attended the Bond Head rally behind St Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church. We faced Hwy 27 for the first half of rally and then moved inside the church for the litanies and prayers.
Beautiful cold but sunny day, happy people praying peacefully and at the end more than one asking for the next time ❣
I find this campaign of the PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY CRUSADE, my friend Dinorah and I organize here in Oakville, very important and right for our times.
I am grateful that although we were only a small group, we all did it for the love of God ???? and everyone felt the touch of Our Lady ????
Divine Providence even left for us a bike padlock to hold one of the poles because the wind ????
Thanks immensely ???????? to all the participants for prioritizing their time for the cause of God in Canada on a difficult date as the Thanksgiving weekend is ????
I filled this out on my sheet which I mailed in.
Thank you
Our photo was not taken with our banner because we wanted everyone to be in it.
We weren’t able to find someone to take it for us, so we did the ‘selfie’ thing, with the town notice for our event. Yay!
It was well attended and everyone was very enthusiastic about it. There were three rosary captains from my parish so we joined forces in hosting it.
An interesting thought came to me as I was praying my rosary the day before the Rosary Ralley. It was an image from the Lord of the Rings trilogy when the sentinel fire is lit and you can see the the other sentinel fires dotting the mountain range signaling for help in battle. The image came with the words “Deep calls into Deep”… I looked up the words and it is from Psalm 42.

(taken from Catolicismo, N° 654 – June 2005
The fresco below, representing the Massacre of the Innocents, was done by Giotto, the famous medieval Italian painter. It was painted between 1302 and 1306 and is exposed in the famous Chapel of the Scrovegni, in Padua.
Around the time of the birth of Our Redeemer, Herod, the Tetrarch of Galilee, ordered all boys under two years of age to be killed because the wise men had naively asked him if he had heard about the newly born king of the Jews.
Herod, figuring that there was not room on the throne for two kings, believed it necessary to eliminate that Boy. He had his soldiers look for the Child everywhere, but He was not found. So Herod ordered the slaughter of the innocents.
They were the first martyrs of the Catholic Church. Why martyrs? For a very simple reason: they were killed out of hatred for the faith and for God; out of hatred for the Child who had given them the honor of being born roughly at the same time He came into the world. Having been murdered for these reasons, they went to heaven as martyrs. They are the Holy Innocents.
When the Angels appeared on Christmas Eve, they proclaimed: “Glory be to God in the highest, and peace on earth to men of good will.” But the first actions that unfold from that day full of light, blessing and peace, are also laden with threats regarding the future. For a superficial mind, this seems to be in contradiction with the phrase “peace on earth to men of good will.” One has the impression that men of good will would neither suffer persecutions nor have to fight.
Probably some of the fathers and mothers of those children depicted in Giotto’s fresco were men of good will. Nevertheless, what happened to them? An immense tragedy: their children were slaughtered.
Herod appears on a sort of balcony, ordering the massacre. One sees the executioners looking for children whom their parents are trying to hide. In the foreground, one sees a woman who obviously does not want to give up her son. Nearby, one notices scenes of agitation and violence. It is indeed a dramatic scene.
Someone could ask, “Were they not baptized?” The answer is that they were baptized in their own blood; they were graced with the so-called “baptism of blood.” And they are, as far as one can see, the first deceased Christians to benefit from the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ shortly after their own birth.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of loving Holy Church, as we are bound to do, above every earthly thing, and of ever showing forth our love by the witness of our deeds.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of openly professing, as we are bound to do, with courage and without human respect, the faith that we received of Thy gift in Holy Baptism.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of sharing, as we are bound to do, in the defense and propagation of the Faith, when duty calls, whether by word or by the sacrifice of our fortunes and our lives.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of loving one another in mutual charity, as we are bound to do, and establish us in perfect harmony of thought, will and action, under the rule and guidance of our holy Pastors.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of conforming our lives fully, as we are bound to do, to the commandments of God’s law and that of His holy Church, so as to live always in that charity which they set forth.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we ask in particular this special favor: [state your request here]
Let us Pray:

17 people braved an icy cold, windy day for this year’s Rosary Rally. We sang “Oh Queen of the Holy Rosary” for our final hymn. I’m sure our Blessed Mother smiled down at all of our Rosary Rallies. ❤️
